Here at Ask Jimmy, we know you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our Privacy Policy. By using or accessing the Services in any manner, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy, and you hereby consent that we will collect, use, and share your information in the following ways.

Remember that your use of Ask Jimmy’s Services is at all times subject to the Terms of Service, which incorporates this Privacy Policy. Any terms we use in this Policy without defining them have the definitions given to them in the Terms of Use. This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) that we gather when you are accessing or using our Services, but not to the practices of companies we don’t own or control, or people that we don’t manage.

We collect information to provide better services to all our users — from figuring out basic stuff like which language you speak, to more complex things like which ads you will find most useful, the people who matter most to you online, or which services you might like. The information Ask Jimmy collects, and how that information is used, depends on how you use our services and how you manage your privacy controls.

As noted in the Terms of Service, we do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for the Services or send any personal information about yourself to us. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. 1. Information You Provide to Us
We receive and store any information you knowingly provide to us. For example, through the registration process and/or through your account settings (if present), we may collect Personal Information such as your email address, For another example, in the event you are selected as a winner in a promotion or campaign which we run through our Services and in which you participated, we may collect Personal Information such as your first name, last name, mailing address, telephone number, and your photograph in order to ship the prizes rewarded to you and publish the promotion or campaign on our Services. For yet another example, while using AJ Services, you may provide third-party account credentials to login to third party sites (such as Google, Facebook, Twitch or other third party sites) using their proprietary secure login forms. By signing in to a third party site or service through AJ Services, you understand some content and/or information in those accounts (“Third Party Account Information”) may be transmitted into your account with us, and that Third Party Account Information transmitted to our Services is covered by this Privacy Policy. Certain information may be required to register with us or to take advantage of some of our features.

We may communicate with you if you’ve provided us the means to do so. For example, if you’ve given us your email address, we may send you promotional email about your use of the Services, or notify of new products that you might be interested based on your use of the Services. By providing the relevant communication means to us, you agree that we may, to the extent permitted by applicable law, contact you for the above mentioned purposes. Also, we may receive a confirmation when you open an email from us. This confirmation helps us make our communications with you more interesting and improve our services. If you do not want to receive communications from us, please indicate your preference by clicking on the un-subscription or communication preferences link in the emails or communications.

2. Information Collected Automatically
Whenever you interact with our Services, we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser or device. We may use this data to customize content for you that we think you might like, based on your usage patterns. We may also use it to improve the Services – for example, this data can tell us how often users use a particular feature of the Services, and we can use that knowledge to make the Services interesting to as many users as possible. Information we automatically receive may include the following:

a) Device Information: We may collect Device-specific information (such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers and mobile network information including phone number). We may associate your device identifiers or phone number with your Ask Jimmy account if available and to verify compliance with these Terms and to detect fraud.

b) Log Information: When you use our Services (including any AJ products), we may automatically record or log technical and related information from your device, its software, and your activity using the Services. This may include:

• Identification numbers associated with your devices (or synthetic anonymous IDs);
• Device event information such as crashes, system activity and hardware settings;
• Locale preferences (country-level only);
• Other interactions with the AJ Services and third party advertisements.

d) Cookies: Please refer to our Cookies Policy page to learn more about how we use cookies to enhance your experience on the Ask Jimmy site.

e) Our Advertising Partners: Our advertising partners may also transmit cookies to your browser or device, when you click on ads that appear on the Services. Also, if you click on a link to a third party website or service, a third party may also transmit cookies to you. Again, this Privacy Policy does not cover the use of cookies by any third parties, and we aren’t responsible for their privacy policies and practices. Please be aware that cookies placed by third parties may continue to track your activities online even after you have left our Services, and those third parties may not honor “Do Not Track” requests you have set using your browser or device.

f) Geo-location Information: We may use geo-location information to the greatest extent permitted by law. Some devices allow applications to access real-time location-based information (for example, GPS). We may also use various technologies to determine location, such as sensor data from your device that may, for example, provide information on nearby Wi-Fi access points and cell towers. The location data is collected anonymously in a form that does not personally identify you and is used by us to provide and improve location based products and services. By using a location-enabled App, you consent to us processing information about your actual location.

3. Use of Personal Information
We may collect and use your personal information for any or all of the following purposes:

1. responding to, handling and processing queries, feedback or requests submitted by you;
2. seeking feedback and comments on our Content, Services and potential new Services;
3. maintaining and improving the services provided through the Ask Jimmy site to better serve our users;
4. analysing and tracking data to determine the effectiveness of Content and to understand the activity of our users;
5. ensuring that your usage of our Services compliant with the legal or regulatory requirements;
6. complying with any applicable laws, regulations, codes of practice, guidelines, or rules, or to assist in law enforcement and investigations conducted by any governmental and/or regulatory authority;
7. administering activities of the Ask Jimmy site;
8. protecting the rights and properties of the AJ;
9. any other purposes for which you have provided the information; and
10. any other incidental purposes related to or in connection with the above.

We do not rent or sell your Personal Information in personally identifiable form to anyone, provided certain Personal Information may be transferred in connection with business transfers, as described below. We may share your Personal Information with third parties as described in this section:

Information that’s no longer personally identifiable. We may anonymize your Personal Information so that you are not individually identified, and provide anonymized information to our partners. We may also provide aggregate usage information to our partners (or allow partners to collect that information from you), who may use such information to understand how often and in what ways people use our Services, so that they, too, can provide you with an optimal online experience. However, we never disclose aggregate usage information to a partner in a manner that would identify you personally, as an individual.

To gain a better understanding of how our users use our Services, AJ may track user actions (such actions may include, without limitation, number of site visit, user conversion, etc and record or report them over the Internet to a central analytics database. We use Google Firebase Analytics to grow our business, to improve or develop our products, to monitor and analyze use of our Services, for our technical administration, to increase the functionality and user-friendliness of our Services, and to verify that users have the authorization needed for us to process their requests. Advertisers: We allow advertisers and/or merchant partners (“Advertisers”) to choose the demographic information of users who will see their advertisements and/or promotional offers and you agree that we may provide any of the information we have collected from you in non-personally identifiable form to an Advertiser, in order for that Advertiser to select the appropriate audience for those advertisements and/or offers. For example, we might use the fact you are located in Singapore to show you ads or offers for Singapore businesses, but we will not tell such businesses who you are. Or, we might allow Advertisers to display their ads to users with similar usage patterns to yours, but we will not disclose usage information to Advertisers except in aggregate form, and not in a manner that would identify you personally. Note that if an advertiser asks us to show an ad to a certain audience or audience segment and you respond to that ad, the advertiser may conclude that you fit the description of the audience they were trying to reach.

Affiliated Businesses: In certain situations, businesses or third party websites we’re affiliated with may sell or provide products or services to you through or in connection with the Services (either alone or jointly with us). You can recognize when an affiliated business is associated with such a transaction or service, and we will share your Personal Information with that affiliated business only to the extent that it is related to such transaction or service. One such service may include the ability for you to automatically transmit Third Party Account Information to your Services profile or to automatically transmit information in your Services profile to your third party account. We have no control over the policies and practices of third party websites or businesses as to privacy or anything else, so if you choose to take part in any transaction or service relating to an affiliated website or business, please review all such business’ or websites’ policies.

Agents: We employ other companies and people to perform tasks on our behalf and need to share your information with them to provide products or services to you; for example, we may use certain third party companies and individuals to help us provide, analyze, and improve our Services (including but not limited to data storage, maintenance services, database management, web analytics and payment processing) for purposes of and under obligations to adequately safeguard the information. Unless we tell you differently, our agents do not have any right to use the Personal Information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us or perform the tasks on our behalf.

Business Transfers: We may choose to buy or sell assets, and may share and/or transfer customer information in connection with the evaluation of and entry into such transactions. Also, if we (or our assets) are acquired, or if we go out of business, enter bankruptcy, or go through some other change of control, Personal Information could be one of the assets transferred to or acquired by a third party.

Compliance with Laws; Protection of AJ and Others: We reserve the right to access, read, preserve, and disclose any information that we reasonably believe is necessary to (a) comply with law or court order; (b) enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements; (c) or protect the rights, property, or safety of AJ, our employees, our users, or others; or (d) prevent fraud or abuse of AJ, our employees, our users, or others.

4. Changes to Our Privacy Policy
We may change this Privacy Policy in our sole discretion at any time. It is your sole responsibility to review the Privacy Policy periodically to be informed on how we are protecting your personal information. AJ is not obliged to provide prior notification on such modification. By visiting our website and/or our services, you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this Privacy Policy (as amended, modified or supplemented).

5. Access and Correction Rights
It is essential that the information you provide to us is accurate. We rely on you to ensure that your personal information is accurate. Please contact us immediately if there are any changes to your personal information. Please contact us at enquiry@askjimmy.sg to update the accuracy of such personal information or request corrections to be made to your personal information.

You can always opt not to disclose information to us, but keep in mind you may need to provide some information to us in order to take advantage of some of our features.

You may be able to add, update, or delete information as explained above. When you update information, however, we may maintain a copy of the unrevised information in our records. You may stop using our products by disconnecting your third party accounts from our Services or uninstalling our software from your devices. After you disconnect your third party accounts or uninstall our software, we do not have access to or any control over the contents or information in your accounts with third party products or services. Some information may remain in our records after your deletion of such information from your account. We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with Services or as required by law (whichever is longest). We may retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Also, we may use any aggregated data derived from or incorporating your Personal Information after you update or delete it, but not in a manner that would identify you personally.

6. Personal Information Security
We endeavor to protect the privacy of your account and other Personal Information we hold in our records. But unfortunately, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee complete security. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time.

Identity theft and the practice currently known as “phishing” are of great concern to AJ. Safeguarding information to help protect you from identity theft is a top priority. We do not and will not, at any time, request your credit card information or any identification numbers in a non-secure or unsolicited e-mail or telephone communication.
